My attitudes about sharing with others in the pirate world has changed significantly over the past couple of decades. I used to get upset when people didn’t say thank you. I still occasionally to be honest. Only because people who don’t share, don’t have a feakin’ clue just how time consuming it is to share. Especially those winy complainy bitches who likes to ask for specific RIPs, as though they have fucking servants or something.
But, it is equally true that sometimes I’m sad that it’s not always possible to thank another original poster. Be it because the torrent was pulled from a public tracker site, or a public USENET site that only indexes the NZB files themselves, which would make the shares fully anonymous. I guess there’s that other thing where, there’s just too much content to thank everyone, so the best way to really show your appreciation is to share content yourself. So long as you’re smart about what you’re doing, you shouldn’t have any problems.
Sharing is the best way to show your appreciation, without having to tell everyone (or click a button) thank you! It’s important to understand that people who upload, would also like to see downloads that they may want to see too! Uploaders can feel the appreciation by the things other people contribute. Yes I know you fuckers are not obligated to share. But just remember, if it were not for people like us who do share, you would not have shit to download, and there would be no reason to purchase privacy tools for your pirating. 😳
